Will my stock 10 round mag FNAR rifle need modification to be compliant with upcoming changes in the semi-auto laws? Advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

The FNH FNAR Competition from the factory is CA legal and requries no modifications.

The FNH FNAR Heavy and FNH FNAR Standard from the factory are considered assault weapons under CA laws, due to being semi-auto centerfire rifles that do not have a fixed magazine and having a pistol grip.
However, both of those models have been discontinued by FNH.

And... The stock from a Browning BAR Shorttrac Stalker fits the FNAR without any modifications.

Mine originally had the evil and dangerous OEM pistol grip stock, but apparently now it is much safer...

But then again the OP is speaking of the competition model with the blue wood stock, and those never had a PG.

Check SWFA "Samples" page - factory demos, always in excellent shape and some really good deals.
