A word about my new RRA 14.5" upper....

Picked this up from PK last week, received today. Handguards are rock solid, no play, and it mounts to my S&W lower with NO play, and the finish matches the S&W lower nicely. I raise these points because this is the opposite of the new Spikes M4 style 16" upper I just sold. On the Spike's upper, the handguards had play, like maybe the Delta ring was weaker. There was a little moveable play between upper and lower reciever AND I could see light at the curved seam between the upper and lower (under the rear sight). The finish on the Spike's was blacker than the finish on my S&W lower, even when loaded with CLP. I AM not saying the Spike's was a POS, I'm just saying the RRA seems to have tighter manufacturing tolerances. I just can't seem to find the pin on my "pinned" YHM FH. Maybe it was pinned and then finished over.

It's there, but it's pinned THAN WELDED over and than blued. Look for a semi-round smudge at the bottom of the FH, you'll see it.

Yep, I thought that little smudge was the place, it's underneath. Very clean job.
