    Muzzle Brake on Handguard Question

    Hello Calgunner!

This would be my first discussion post please go easy on me and yes I did some research (reading and talking to some buddies) prior posting this question.
So I recently purchased a small muzzle brake and when I installed into my ar this is the outcome. On the left right section of the muzzle brake and the handguard, it has some clearance. However on the top of the rail, it has some protrusion, I was wondering will this be an issue or likely causing my hanguard to kaboom? Like I mentioned before, I've read articles about people installing the A2 or muzzle brake inside their handguard and that's a big no no. So I need some of you guys advises here.
    Please see attached images.

    Thank you!

You're on the boarder of danger zone. You should fine, but be extra careful about where you grip your hand guard. You DO NOT want your fingers to be near your brake baffles while shooting.

Your handguard will have powder marks from the muzzle brake. But it will work.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.
      I'm Back.
