    Insane Wait Times For Uppers.

I got quoted 20+ weeks today for a RRA A4 Varmint upper! Holy cow Batman!
After doing some reserach, it seems that RRA isn't the only manufacture with an insane backlog. Now I'm at the back of the waiting line.... Maybe it'll be a Christmas gift by the time it gets here.

Keep looking youll find one if you really want one. Its not a bad idea though to keep the upper your waiting on. You probably got a good price on it.
But honestly that 20+ week wait will probably be alot longer.

The other thing is, you're behind all the resellers that have placed their orders. You need to keep watching the forums (m4carbine.net, ar15.com, etc.) and you'll see people post up saying that a specific retailer has RRA varmint uppers in stock, maybe exactly what you want. You could possibly get it much sooner if you're lucky and find it elsewhere, then cancel your order.

I know stuff has been bad, the 4 people deep line at the Miwall booth, the scarcity of brass and bullets, etc...
But i didn't think it was this bad.

I'll probably just stay on the waiting list where I'm at, i like the service there and the price is right. i have nothing but time and i have other family members that haven't been getting proper attention lately...

Last time i bought an ar upper the wait was 8 weeks about two years ago...

Just curious. I sometimes forget I have a relatively rare idea how things are since I talk to these companies on a daily/weekly basis.

As mentioned above, if you're willing to work the phone and the net, you can sometimes find a smaller shop with stuff in stock. Don't give up!

LMT uppers have 30+ week wait time

I think it's best to keep looking around and hopefully you'll find one in stock before they sell out again..
