Cz scorpion vs kriss vector? What to buy

So I'm pretty sure there is another thread on this. Atleast I wouldn't be surprised. Anyways I want your opinion on this matter. If you where in the market to buy one of these guns what would you pick? The cz scorpion is a pretty sweet 9mm and the megs are cheap (20$). Has good ergonomics too. On the other hand the kriss comes in 9mm and 45acp. Also I'd say the kriss has that cool factor that I don't think the scorpion has. 1200$ for the scorpion,1350$ for the kriss.

Also this being CA they are both neutered. So... everything else they can do out of CA doesn't matter

Dies the Kriss actually have a longer barrel, or just a fake supressor?

If I'm stuck with 16" hanging off the thing I'm going with the one that actually does something.

I've had both, sold the the Vector (Gen 2). I'm a bigger guy and felt scrunched up with my lead hand close in, but it looks like they came out with a new handguard that would allow you to hold it further out. Also felt the Vector is unnecessarily heavy. On the other hand, the Vector seemed a smidge more accurate. If you're looking to get into PCC matches, I've found the magazine release to be a pain on the Scorpion with the smaller 10 round mags, but it's fine with 10/30s.

ChuckDizzle - the Kriss does actually have a longer barrel. On my Scorpion, I opted for the version with the muzzle brake, as opposed to the one with the fake can.

Shot a friend's Kriss, it felt unwieldy and gimmicky. Bought a Scorpion Evo carbine and love shooting that....sweet 9mm carbine

Have you considered a Sub2000? MUCH cheaper. It uses mags from your handgun of choice (uh... Glock, Beretta, Sig, M&P I think).

Shooting mine and someone else's Vector, I found the Sub2000 was shorter, lighter, had a longer sight radius, and had less felt recoil.

Audiophil2 was selling the CZ scorpions a few months ago for $1,000 shipped in Ca configuration.

I have one, freaking fun as heck. Super reliable, tons of aftermarket support and products made for them. Awesome reliable carbine.

There is a lot more aftermarket support for the CZ. So if you like custom triggers, mags, mag releases, etc...

I have both and prefer my Scorpion over my Kriss Vector. I have owner my CZ Scorpion for 7 months and bought my son the Vector in May. Both have armbraces but the CZs has a folding stock while the KV is fixed. I do not like the way the KV feel or the way it swings from target to target...thr extra up front weight makes it less pointable than the CZ. The trigger on the KV is nicer even after I installed the spring kit from HBI. I shoot exclusively with my SilencerCo Osprey suppressor and find the KV is louder and has more blowback. Both are vert quiet with my 147 gr subsonic loads. The CZ has no blowback but you can definitely feel the recoil if its heavy bolt.

I paid $750 for my CZ + $200 for the stock + $30 for a AK style right side safety + $10 (?) for the spring kit. I paid $1250 for the KV that came with an armbrace. I do not think the KV is worth an extra $250 but my son likes it.

in 9mm, I would go cz personally unless you have a g17 already.

Neither. Blowback at those prices seems too much.

I'm in the minority I guess I also own both and much prefer the vector. Don't get me wrong the scorpion is fun but I think the vector has more to offer.

The vector can change caliber with a lower swap, the scorpion is only 9mm. The mags were also brought up yeah they are $20 but they are all plastic and I have had one fail on me. In the same point if you look the vector takes glock mags and they can also be found for $20 too.

The last thing that puts the vector on top for me is the trigger. The vector trigger isn't amazing, but the scorpion trigger is HORRIBLE. I don't know the average pull weight is but my personal rifle was 12.5#. Buying the HB industries spring kit is completely necessary to make the rifle pleasant to shoot. Oh by the way a lot of the carbines still have the welded trigger packs so it makes improving the trigger an annoyance drilling out a screw.

I will say the best part about the Scorpion is the vector weakest point the balance. The weights on both are within 1/2# of each other but the vector's weight is the barrel and is all out in front with most of the weight. The scorpion is much better balanced.

I never fired a vector, but my scorpion is lots of fun and reliable.

I have a scorpion pistol and it's probably the gun I enjoy shooting the most. Not a huge fan of the stock trigger, or how badly the bolt peens the hammer though but no one has reported issues of hammers/bolts failing that I know of.
