Nope, with registration being extended until June 30, 2018 enforcement of the new AW laws will not start until then. April 2018 (can you say tax return) will actually be a good time to order whatever it is that you need to be compliant. For that matter, even without these two ejection port loaders you could still top load until you get them.

Why is that too late? This has 0 impact on a rifles legality.

I wouldn't wait for the deadline. There's a topic here about a guy that got charged with high cap mag, which if you read his topic you'd finitely want to avoid what he's going thru!

This stripper clip thing is the least crappy solution that I've seen so far. I preordered without even owning an AR but because of this I'm considering getting one again.

There's also a fixed mag modification idea here on CG that uses only a set screw to lock the magazine. It looks easy to do, not visible from the outside, and is reversible.

These two separate ideas combined make for a the least crappy solution that I've found!

We are talking about ejection port loaders here. If you have a fixed magazine, whether you have one of these loaders or not, your rifle is legal and does not have to be registered. So, yes, zero impact.

Let me know when you're done being stuck on stupid.

We're talking about loading accessories for fixed magazine weapons. This has NOTHING to due with the rifles legal configuration. Only the ease of it's use.

Is the problem the shape of the ejection port?

The mag loaders being discussed have no bearing on legality, simlply the ease of reloading.

And with a fixed magazine, your flash hider is just fine where it is.

The ONLY thing that has changed is that the Bullet Button is no longer accepted as a way to create a fixed magazine.
There are at least 10 other products that do that now.

Well, I just pre-ordered a set of loaders and a mag. Now I'm curious as to how tightly the rounds fit into the loader and if it can be modified to load 6.8SPC. The length shouldn't be an issue, but the circumference will.

And I was referring to the mag, not the loader.

                          You're right, 6.8 doesn't fit.

So far, for me, this seems like the best solution with a fixed mag. And now the wait until begins...

I would pre-order, however, all my disposable income is going towards stockpiling ammo before the end of the year. I will probably pick up half a dozen of these after the new year.
