Should I keep it?

I own a matching numbers, originalled barrel Russian RPD kit and it has been such a PITA to get this thing going, and then it'll have to be featureless with a wrap which isnt really a deal breaker but it sucks.

The biggest problem is the reciever, there are companies that make the reciever so i was going to buy it, ship it to an ffl, then send the entire rifle to get built and sent back but the quotes i got were 6+ months out and with all this banning, restricting, and general stupidity im not sure if i would get it back in time.

What should I do? I love this thing and it kills me just sitting in a box wrapped in paper.

Normally I say if you can't complete a project move it on to someone who can.
But isn't anyone else who buys this from you going to run into the same issue?

I mean, the polish ones are everywhere you would think there would be more out there

I say build it yourself. what's the cost of buying any tooling you would need that you don't already have vs paying someone else to build it for you?
