So how do you like the stock? I'm looking for one & although the Magpul sniper is sort of 1st place for me, I wouldn't mind looking at something else of good quality.

I have the same POF lower, went the other route with it and made it shorty style. The damn ambi bolt release stopped working after a while. Probably my fault, I put in an oversized DPMS (dressed down the back of the top pad so it would mate in the upper cut out) catch, too much "purchase" on the bottom of the bolt I'd bet.

I really like the POF lower - integral curved trigger guard and a screw in bolt release pin. Very nice.

I have not shot the rifle with the SSR-25 stock yet. I'll post a report next week. My initial impression is that it is very simple and solidly built. I like the integrated monopod. The adjustable cheek piece is a bit wobbly though. I'll see if I can adjust this. If I hate it, back to Midway it goes and I'll buy the PRS instead once Midway has it back in inventory.

I noticed that the standard bolt catch is a little loose in the POF lower. Maybe I'll just leave it alone based upon your experience. I have only put about 50 rds through it so far and the ambi bolt release is very convenient.

Very nice rifle. I also have the POF 308 lower coming in next week. Did the lower come with any 308-specific parts to allow a standard AR LPK to work, or did you have to use a 308 LPK?

That's on nice looking rat gun. Dare I admit I'm green with envy? Do a review for us on that stock. Great job! My POF lower will have to wait a little longer for its upper parts kin.

Mine did not. Mine came with the ambi release parts and the threaded screw for use as the bolt catch pin. Also came with a hinge pin, no sleeve though which is needed if you use a DPMS upper.

As noted above, it came with the ambi bolt release parts. You can use a standard LPK. The only anomaly was that the pivot pin detent spring was too short for the lower. I stretched the spring a bit to resolve this. You need bushings for both the pivot and takedown pins to mate a POF lower to a DPMS upper.

Very nice! She's a hottie! Not to be rude, but, what's the total cost?

With current market prices of parts, it was around $2700

I think she's worth it. After spending that much on her she deserves quality ammo. Please don't forget to post range report. You did a great job.

I won't get to shoot it again until next weekend. I'll post pics and a report then.

I'm just about to work up some accuracy loads as I type this

That's the same powder I use for my PSS 308 loads, same green box of bullets that weights 168 grains. I think I need to go reload some ammo and shoot too. Keep us posted.
