I nailed this grey with my Shield 9 and then unloaded my Colt 45 M1911 on him (it). He (it) went down, but the wounds immediately healed. The military guys swooped in and caught it with a net. It is now cryogenically preserved in A51.

Nice! The assault rifle from Halo fired 7.62x51, worked ok in most cases. .50 Beowulf may be a better flavor for point-blank alien busting, just in case they have shields. Otherwise hard to argue with 12 gauge

Go as short as the standard gas system allows for best reliability. The 308 will give quite a fireball with a short barrel but it will still pack a big punch.

The Greys are so skinny, you have to have something that doesn't over-penetrate. How about some Black Talons?
