Problems with attaching A2 stock

Question, my A2 stock from Stag won't screw in all the way into the Stag receiver. There is a 1/8" gap. Am I missing the adaptor like the one that comes with M4 stock? According to the exploded diagram, I don't see the adaptor in it. The stock came with the A2 stock, buffer tube & spring.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

The tube should screw down to the buffer detent pin which you need to push in to screw all the way.

If your tube is out of spec just give me a call tonight and we can take some measurments over the phone and we can tell whats wrong.

A2 stock should have a plastic spacer that fits on the end of the buffer tube. Did it come with one those?

Note this is DPMS and not Stag. #26 they have a aluminum spacer? Not sure if that would work?

As Shane 916 pointed out the DPMS is aluminum (Armalite is plastic) and it is number 26 on the AR15 schema he provided.

Funny thing is I have that piece & it goes into the stock first, then the spring & then the buffer tube, right?
Do you guys screw the tube into the receiver first? Then the spring goes around it, followed by the stock & then locking it down with the screw on the butt plate?

Screw in the tube to the receiver (might need to use a wrench), spacer, stock, screw, pin w/spring, spring w/buffer.

I usually screw in the buffer tube part way install the buffer retainer plunger and spring and hold inplace with thumb and screw in the tube the rest of the way and they tighten with wrench.....

1) Install the buffer retainer and spring with the receiver extension. Tighten receiver extension.

2) Put the spacer in the buttstock, slide the buttstock on the receiver extension.

3) Sometimes the stock will not fully seat in the back of the receiver without giving it a slap to the butt/bottom. Tighten stock screw down.
