    Rail panel question

Im trying to put a pair of tango down rail panels on a stag 2ht upper. The right side is fine and I can slide that right on. But on the left, there a sling swivel thats blocking the front and the back rail is a little wider to just slide the rail panel on.

I dont have the tools at the moment, but to anyone familiar with the 2ht upper, know how I can slide the panel on the left side? Or will I have to take things apart? Any help is appreciated

    thanks

I have a 2HT and it came with 2 front sling mounts, the one on the side I took off and left the one underneath. Don't see a why it would be difficult unless you still have both sling mounts. Pics would be good.

      Hello,

Yes, you will need a punch to drive out the pins that hold the sling mount on the side of the front sight. Its pretty easy and should be a 2 minute job.

The 6" Tango covers usually have to be modified with a dremel to fit on the 2ht rail to compensate for the thick part near the reciever. Also, they do fit very snug on most of the Sampson rails that come on the 2ht.

Dont forget to try an H2 buffer and restake stake the key. The H2 will make a big difference compared to the stock carbine buffer.
