Question about my sun devil lower?

Hi,

I'm new to AR building and I recently got my Sun Devil lowers (Thanks Irvington Arms!), and I had a question about the location of where the pin that holds the buffer in the tube. I remember seeing a post from another user who had a failure with his lower because the pin was so close to the edge. I've attached a picture. Anyone think this may be too thin? Should I contact Sun Devil and ask about it? Or am I just worried over nothing? Any help appreciated! I've learned a lot by just lurking, but this has me worried.

You're fine. Once the upper is attached, the BCG pushes that buffer back about .5~1mm. During normal cycling operation the buffer never touches the pin.

Whew.. I guess we won't really know until I get it out on the range which should be in about a week.

You should be fine, I'm sure my Sundevil Lower is exactly the same. Plus just like Mecam mentioned, when the upper is pinned to the lower the pin is pushed under and is kept safe and happy since no forces act on it.
