    Magpul ASAP adapter just in....

Just got my ASAP today. Seems not as sturdy as the one Chris has on the Magpul video. Anyone else got theirs?

My order is still processing. I ordered late on the 12th, but I also ordered an MS2 sling, so I might be waiting on that.

Apparently Magpul's online status page is pretty poor. Even after you get your package, it'll still say processing. People have been gauging their package status based on whether or not their card has been charged as Magpul doesn't charge you till they ship. Then again, people have also been receiving their ASAP's and slings without a charge showing on their card so...it's really all up in the air.

It have been thru tons of tests, including like 400lbs test... so, unless you have a 400lbs rifle, you dun have to worry about it.

It's not that hard to generate 400lbs of force.

still waiting on mine. I ordered on the 13th. Is the metal sound really that loud that anyone has noticed. people on ar15.com were saying that the sling adapter makes a lot of metal on metal noise.

I had already planned on dipping the link in ruberized coating

I wouldn't do that, the link should slide freely. Noise??? It's an AR not a 22LR....lol

This one have the same issue with the CQD sling and sling mounts regarding noise.... I think if they use a plastic coating ring... that would help...

I got mine today as well! Ran into a snag tho'. It doesn't seem to fit well on my sun devil with a magpul UBR. The tube extension is threaded too short so it doesn't thread in enough to cover the pin that keeps the buffer tube in. Not sure if it's a problem with my lower or not. Maybe magpul will make a longer tube. Oh well.

Btw: I got the sling too. Love it!

Well then clearly the most logical course of action would be to give me your UBR so you can use your ASAP

Jokes aside, people here said the UBR won't work with the ASAP plate for now: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.htm...f=124&t=170383
