    Difficulty with front sight

Earlier I put a scope on my Marlin model 60 and was shooting quite well with it. But I have been neglecting my iron sights, so I'm going back to shooting with them for a while. (I'm basically just trying to learn to shoot here)

The problem is, I can't keep my focus on the front sight. At a 50 yard target, no matter how hard I try, the front sight keeps wobbling in and out of focus, as it seems my eyes really want to focus on the target. The effect is that I can't shoot well at all.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any advice on how to fix it? Just more practice?

I used to have the same issue. (Focus on the target not the sight).
Find a safe area in your back yard or whatever. Make sure your gun is not loaded ect.!!! Set yourself up a target and start to work on the front sight.
after doing this you will see the target as a bluurrr in the background of the sight. Once you get down the frt sight focus and you see the bluurrrr you are good. Do you have a hand gun? It is easy to to break that habit with a pistol. At least it was for me. Now I can keep a steady 2" group at 15' not bad. If I miss from my group it is all from me not working my frt sight.
      Thats my 2 cents.
      Hope that will help.

Yeah, I don't have a pistol. Haven't quite rounded up the money for it yet. I seem to have this problem mostly with the Marlin. Other guns it seems to be better on.
