Making the Hi-point carbine uglier

Just a proof of concept.

The pistol grip screw appears to be a #8x32, and the stock screws appear to be #10x32. The length of the screws would depend on the thickness of the aluminum bar.

I think a little powder coat would look great. (Or maybe a aluminum primer with a good matte black over it.) (Anodize would be ideal, but I don't have access to it.)

Can't seem to make the pictures work....

Anyway, the widest aluminum bar I could find was 2 1/8 inches. 3 inches would be ideal.

And I will need to chamfer the edges. And add some washers and lock washers.

That's a good first step but it needs some contrast.
Wrap it with some brightly colored duct tape (yellow, orange, neon green or purple for example) to make it pop and provide some padding for the hand.
