I've got two they are very well machined no complaints here. Really a lower is a lower it mainly depends on what logo you like the best.

+1 for OC Armory...Check with them Tuesday after Mike gets back from the AZ gun show this weekend and I'm sure he'll have some gooooodies.
sign up @ activejunky for cash back and we both get $10 after your first purchase. referral link

Stag is the commercial division of Continental Machine, a government contractor. In general, their lowers are good quality, like all the rest.

The forgings (original metal) for all AR lowers come from about 1/2 dozen sources and almost all of them are cut (machined) by about a dozen sources. There are some minor finishing, logo and finish detail differences, but they're essentially the same and will function equally well.

Probably the best thing you can do is handle a few different ones in a store and pick the finish/logo/look you like best.

Billet is hype and unnecessary - especially in the Sun Devils which actually use lower quality aluminum than mil-spec forged lowers.

Polymer lowers (such as the Bushmaster Carbon-15) are more expensive than they should be and offer no real competitive advantages, other than the couple ounces in weight they shave. For almost everyone this is not the best choice.

Prices are high now, but you'll never actually regret building up your AR.

I WOULD SUGGEST GETING A LOWER WITH MULTI CAL ON IT! You never know what upper you will get in the future!

Markings are meaningless from a legal standpoint.
