HELP!!! Fake Aimpoint ?............Pic's!!!

I sold an Aimpoint M4 2moa scope to a member here. I just got a PM from him and he says I sold him a fake Aimpoint.....Needless to say he is pissed!!! I was completely under the impression I sold him a legit Aimpoint. I have a few more I bought from the same retailer. How do I tell if they are fake or not?

***UPDATE***AS OF 7:26 A.M. ON THE 19TH

Just got off the phone with the warranty manager at Aimpoint. He has looked at the pictures I have posted and checked the serial #. He has confirmed 100% that this Aimpoint is REAL! He has also confirmed 100% that botasch.com is one of their biggest sellers of the Aimpoint M4 and only sells REAL Aimpoint products!

Just got off the phone with the buyer. He will be calling Aimpoint shortly and will post his finding here. He plans to keep the unit if he is wrong.

I seem to remember a sticky over at arfcom regarding fake aimpoints and how to identify them.

post some pictures of it in here, including the serial number area and name branding area, I am sure someone here can verify if it is real or not.

Sounds crappy bro... I'm sure he wouldnt have accussed you of selling him a fake one if he didnt know 100% that it was fake... You better get ahold of the guy you bought them from...

This is th EXACT one I sold. The calgunner I sold it to is in possession of it now (maybe he could post or PM me the serial #) anyhow the other one I bought will be here tomorrow.

The fake ones dont have that torque knob from what Ive seen....thats one of the areas they skimp on.

im not an expert, but from the pics here is my observation. note that i have a compc3, not a M4

the box doesnt look right.
i would assume the mount would not come connected to the scope
i dont have a battery symbol on mine
is the aimpoint logo on the scope laser inscribed?
i thought the M4 came with flip-up covers

but like i said...i got no idea

I don't have an M4 either, but just glancing at Larue's pics of their M4 combo, a lot of the markings, caps, etc. look the same:

I think I saw in another Aimpoint vs. Fakepoint thread that the manual the fake one comes with isn't color.

Can the buyer prove that it's a fake?
