i wonder if i could make bank shipping items to cali. things like that ship to my vegas address ill tack on 5 bucks plus the cost of shipping to ship to you. i cant get in trouble for uppers anyway lol thats on you if your not compliant.

I've seen that from quite a few buyers on GB stating they refuse to sell to California or New Jersey or other limited states. Doesn't matter what it is, they just refuse to deal with this state.

A lot of the sellers on GB are private sellers without a legal or compliance department, so I understand why they wouldn't want to sell to CA or NY because of the vast gun laws and how often they change.

I really cant say I blame any store or retailer to refuse to ship to Cali. Most would rather error on the side of caution. Del Ton wont ship uppers to Cali as well.

Get used to it. It's only going to get worse. I had a seller on GB who
didn't want to ship me a Leupold rifle scope.

This exactly, I purchased a scope from Sportmans Guide pre Sandy Hook
event. When I tried to use it I found it defective, so returned to SG for replacement under their warranty replacement policy. This was a week after the Sandy Hook shootings. SG refused to exchange the scope cuz "it could be used on an assault weapon". WTF????? Its a scope every Walmart in CA sells fer crying out loud! That was the day SG and I parted company and I've never looked back.

Hooray for FREEDOM! While some people don't like when others exercise their freedoms, screw 'em. The fact is that Optic Planet has the RIGHT to exercise their freedom to set any business policy (within the law) they want to. I find it disturbing that so many who say they support the rights of others are the first ones to whine like little babies when someone exercises a right in a way they don't agree with.

I bet you said the exact same thing when Cheaper Than Dirt pulled their shenanigans after Sandy Hook...

Yeah, he seems to think someones freedom to run their business as they see fit means we aren't allowed to express our distaste in those policies and tell everyone why we won't be doing business with them.

I have bought many items from them, granted my items were Telescope / Astronomy items and a few scope items.. But no issues.
