Buy good quality and torque it to specifications and you will be happy! Buy cheap and you will buy twice!

you better have some pretty special loctite if you want it to work on a gas block.

well, it's a clamp on so I'm not assuming hard use.
Loctite 271 is done at...250C? I'm sure there are higher temperature loctites.

I have a JP clamp on, heard somewhere that they're slightly better than set screw ones since clamping induces more universal force on the barrel where a set screw is pokey in one spot.

Works fine, use proper threadlocker, which in this case was Rocksett. Will hold up to the heat and doesn't take much torque to remove screws. Win-win.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

I use them, no leaks. I like the ones that use three bolts. also had good luck with the Yankee Hill small 2 bolt clamp on gas block.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

They work great. But so do screw ons. I personally run a Superlative Arms Clamp on for my main rifle and it's been awesome.
