    Installing muzzle brake

Do you just screw it on and align the ports how you want, and then just assume the center of the barrel and the center of the exit hole on the brake are perfectly aligned? Or is there some way to check before you shoot it? Edit: A simple way to check, not requiring machinists tools and gunsmith knowledge.

With a good barrel and brake you should be fine.... I guess one way to check would be a wooden rod roughly the size of whatever caliber you are shooting. Roll it on a flat surface to check for straightness

Yeah I thought about checking with a dowel or cleaning rod or something. Didn't know if there was some trick that the pros do.

Buying a couple muzzle brakes, going cheapish on one and cheap on the other. Just thinking, so I trust that the machinist in china got this $18 muzzle brake aligned right?

Couldn't imagine it being pretty if a bullet hit the interior..

Bore is assumed to be correct unless there's something VERY wrong, like mismatched caliber. You should be more concerned with "timing", or the horizontal tilt of the finished portion. Or the crush washer orientation and "feel" upon install.

Remember to use a Magpul Bevblock on the upper so you do not damage your barrel by trying to manually twist the handguard. You do not need a barrel vice if using such a product.

Thanks. Ive got the upper block but didn't know exactly where it went so yes the video helped in that regard.
