Which RDS on AR Pistol: Holosun vs Eotech vs Sig Romeo4.

When I first got my AR it was only between Aimpoint and Eotech everything else was out of the question. Although I loved the Eotech's reticle, I went with the Aimpoint H-1 and this thing has taken a beating and is still serving me well for over 3 years on the same battery. I was saying to myself that if Aimpoint made a Red Dot with the Eotech Reticle the decision wouldn't be so difficult.

Fast forward today, there are dozens of red dots that are extremely good options. I originally wanted to go with an Eotech for my AR Pistol because I love the reticle, big field of view and paired with the magnifier you get the crispest red dot sight money can buy. Even though they had their problems with the thermal drift lawsuit, I feel it is still a more better, proven sight vs. the Holosun and Sig Romeo.

So.. what do you guys think? Which one will serve me as well as my Aimpoint does. Holosun HS503G ACSS vs. Eotech EXPS3-0 vs. SigRomeo4C. Also open to other options as well any help is always appreciated, Thanks!

The Eotech thermal drift thing is unlikely to be of actual concern for you in CA, unless you're operating in a walk-in freezer or a sauna. That being said, personally, I'd stick with the Aimpoint. If I didn't already have the Aimpoint, and had to pick out of the three, I'd go with the Eotech over the Holosun over the Sig. The Eotech is going to be more durable (albeit with much worse battery life), and the Holosun seems to have gotten a lot more outside reviewing and testing than the Sig... although the Sig likely is a Holosun.

I have been looking at the Holosun 510C for my AR pistol because it has the 65MOA circle/dot reticle like the Eotech and the long battery life of the 503C.

On my 10.5 inch 300blk pistol I have the aimpoint pro. I really like the 30 mm tube it provides a much larger field of view than my t1 and t2 yet doesn't feel awkwardly large, just better for a non shouldered shooting position. I've tryed switching my t1 on to it but the pro just seemed easier to acquire the dot and put it right on the target faster, so the t1 stays on my arsenal ak.

I vote for the aimpoint pro or any aim point with 30 mm tube

I thought that Sig is just a rebadged Holosun

Buy a holosun! I love the ones I have! I prefer them over both aimpoint and eotech

I was looking at several of the red dots that you mentioned, but went with the Vortex Spitfire 1x prism scope. I like the concentric ring glass etched recital, and the ability to use it without batteries. One disadvantage (to some) is that you can't use it to co-witness with iron sights or a magnifier.

This is the one I bought http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/...rt-moa-reticle
but they also have this one http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/...1x-prism-scope

I would go with the Holosun or one of the rebranded Holosun (PA, Sig, TruGlo). I like to keep my AR pistol as light as possible.

if this gun will be subjected to hard use like drops and bangs into trees and walls, then go for an Aimpoint. If just moderate knocking around go Holosun, if vary limited knocking around, I'd go C-More for the best sight picture for the cost. There is a reason C-mores are used in competition pistols and its due to the speed and accuracy of their design.
