    Again....

    Do not confuse the AWB with the Ghost Gun law.

    The Ghost Gun law does not differentiate between rimfire or semuauto or featureless. The two laws are 100% completely separate and applicable to different firearms.

    THE GHOST GUN LAW IMPACTS EVEN A BOLT ACTION OR SINGLE SHOT FEATURELESS LONG GUN.

        I know that's the feeling, but do we have definitive info as such from CA DOJ ...

              Good info for the Fed requirement.

              Whats CA's marking requirement say.... is it the same as the Feds or does CA have its own?

                From what I've read they are very similar requirements ...

                  Thanks for the link. Curious about this too. I copied the section that deals with names and abbreviations:

                  "Your name (or recognized abbreviation) and also, when applicable, the same of the foreign manufacturer or maker;

                  In the case of a domestically made firearm, the city and State (or recognized abbreviation thereof) where you as the manufacturer maintain your place of business, or where you, as the maker, made the firearm; and"

                  Based on this information, if CA duplicates the engraving requirements, it would need your name (or recognized abbreviation). Notice the requirement is the same for the city and state (or recognized abbreviation).

                  This issue I have with putting an abbreviation on a lower is there may be multiple people with my abbreviation that reside in my city. However, if it meets the requirements of CA, then I would prefer initials vs. my name. If the firearm was stolen, you would have the serial number, should LE not be able to track you down (if recovered) by your abbreviations and city/state.

                    My understanding of "recognized abbreviation" was something like:
                    Jr. = junior
                    Sr. = senior
                    Maybe even Geo. = george, Wm. = William

                    "Recognized" being the key term.

                    Just my take on the reading.

                    Once again - vague, ambiguius wording in law, no clarification.
                    Just like "permanent", "readily", or "disassemble".

                    That aside - great lookin lower, OP!

                      Good discussion guys, Thank you.
                      I am engraving "all" of my lowers as pistol with spelled out name and middle initial and then doing vol reg.
                      I read on another post that CA does not "like" Multi as a caliber designation.....I am deciding to use Multi as almost all of my factory lowers use it. Does anyone feel differently on this?
