    Help selecting a stock

So im going to bring 1 ar with me when I head that way and its going to be a hunting 204 and maybe a 65 grendel.

Im going to go featureless so if anyone can A help me find a fixed stock that will work for a good optic.

Build will be AR lower with detachable mag
    AAC Brakeout muzzle break
some grip wrap or other method to make sure the web of my hand cannot wrap the grip.

the stock is where im stuck like i said. I plan on making this a yote gun and would like an adjustable cheek peice but it sounds like the new laws are a complete cluster**** because collapsible is not defined or some crap.

so is this considered fixed since i need a tool to adjust it?

Maximize rifle adaptability with the TR-2 tactical buttstock, offering diverse adjustments for the perfect fit. Compatible with XLR chassis, and can be configured for AR 15’s, upgrade your shooting today.

Thordsen maybe? The stock in the OP is likely going to cause problems. Lot's of people are running the FRS and like them.

BTW, check out the Featureless picture thread for ideas. I would start on the last page and work backwards, since that will show you the newest first. http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...253777&page=41

really cant beat a Backfin slid onto a Magpul http://www.exilemachine.net/shop/bac...nd-101244.html With a standard A2 stock https://www.midwayusa.com/product/87...hetic-charcoal with a cheek pad http://www.blackhawk.com/Products/Lo...Cheek-Pad.aspx

the best part is you can re-configure it all to normal if needed. You are not putting all your eggs in one "compliance" basket.

Can get a decent cheekweld with an A2 with magnified optics for me.

going to go with a gripfin or wrap whatever they are called so when i return to NV i can just remove the wrap and be good with it.

might do that. really don't want any cali/ny only stocks as my stay in Cali is temporary and want something that i can revert to non infringed with minimal effort. How well do the cheekpads stay on once you have it in place?

              thanks for all the tips.

Did you meant to say you CANNOT get a decent...." I assume so.

And you never said if your rifle currently has a carbine or a rifle buffer tube. Since that stock piece in your original post fits a carbine BT, should we assume it's what you have? And are you resistant to swapping buffer systems on your rifle? Clarifying this would keep most people from throwing out the "A2 stock" card... and keep people on track with what fits a carbine tube.

If you have a rifle buffer tube, you might consider the Magpul MOE rifle stock. Looks pretty good and gets me a good cheek weld with medium height rings. YMMV. I think it looks great.

This rifle looks like it has high rings.

you are correct with a PEPR or an ADM mount both i have the larue RISR on one and the Luth AR almost maxed.

Sorry the rifle has an adjustable stock on a carbine buffer only because its what I had lying around (in vegas of course). Absolutely not opposed to tossing a rifle length system on there since i have 4-5 more builds I plan to leave in Vegas and can use the carbine system.

I think im going to do the A2 stock with either one of the cheek pieces listed or http://www.karstenskydexcheekrest.com/.

the A2 stock does seem to fit the bill i guess i for some reason didn't think of adjustable cheek pieces added to it.

Another option is the BOAR Grip, I will be ordering and have them in stock soon for both right and left handed.

I'd rather have a wrap so I can remove it when I'm hunting in a free state. I already shoot with my thumb on the side so a Pyrex wrap won't matter and will take 2 seconds to remove when I cross state lines.
