Anyone ever epoxy an accessory to a cheap plastic rail cover?

Subject of the thread was attachment, assuming one did not want to use velcro.
Like buying a barrel. If you can buy a blank for $50, why so many discussions about barrels? Same idea. the shield for $8 is a blank.Comment

I think these threads make a seemingly boring question a lot of fun. Thanks OP.
Two things though:
1. Why didn't you just ask the question with full disclosure of the intent? Granted, as I said above, it certainly makes things fun to get everyone ramped up. Four pages? Good job.
2. This entire thread could be avoided by simply using an under-mount configuration on your scope. The shooting technique takes a bit of getting used to, but you don't need that weirdo looking fender on your gun.The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Tested, it works. Jammed through 60 rounds and no barrel heat effects in the scope at all.
As some of you predicted, the shield gets flipped up every shot by the brake, and makes it feel cartoonish. that may or may not need to get fixed. Not ASAP, but will continue to monitor. If you see me at the range shooting for groups, you'll be laughing at me for sure.
I'd post the target, but the groups sucked. The goal was 60 rounds fast, not 60 rounds good. So two of the groups are over 1.0 MOA (1.1 and 1.3), average across 11 5-round groups is only .84 MOA. Both rifle and I can do better, just need to slow down.Last edited by Whiterabbit; 03-20-2017, 9:19 AM.Comment
