Im new to the AR world and wanted to build a rifle. Can I buy/build a featured AR if I use a mag lock or top loading system? In other words, can I use adjustable stock and pistol grip on a newly built rifle so long as I have to open the receiver to drop the mag?

Yes you can use pistol grip, flash hider. And collapsible stock if you use one of the new style mag locks or fixed mags. Patriot mag release, ar matlock, cross safe mag, Franklin fixed mag, etc.The actual value of above $.02 is less than $.01 after taxes.
