Waffen Werks AK74 receiver

Hey guys,

My dad gifted me a Waffen Werks AK74 stripped receiver for Christmas. I wasn't expecting to get this so I haven't done a lot of research on them. I can put an AR15 together from a stripped lower but I've never even owned an AK. Does anyone know of any good videos on how to build one? Any good websites to get parts? Can I put one of these together or do you think I'll have to take it to a gunsmith for some stuff? Know any good gunsmiths for this kind of stuff? Any input would be helpful because I'm an AK rookie. Thanks

Lots of tools involved. Its much more involved than putting together an AR.

Some guys with lots of mechanical knowledge and badass workshops really love assembling their AKs. Most guys find it a PITA unless you go to a course where somebody who knows the process can guide you but the days of unregistered AK build parties being legal are long gone so that won't be free.

Yeah I don't have much of a workshop so maybe I'll look for a gun shop to put together the parts I can't.

Check on YouTube, toth tool for the equipment and depending which route you take for a build you might need a 20/10 ton hydraulic press. For a smith there's lee armory and evolution ak in Redlands ca
