BB help

When I converted to featureless I had to break the mag catch with a vice grips. The BB tool and screw driver with heat didn't work for me. I wasted so much time trying but the vice grips just snapped it off in mere seconds and I had an extra mag catch to use as replacement:

Smith & Wesson Locktites the heck out of their rifles. I couldn't get the pins out of the front post of my Sport, had to cut it off.

We actually do red Locktite BBs when we installed them. To remove them, the advice about heat is right on. Apply the heat at the BB side of the latch, not the riveted end of the latch shaft on the left side of the rifle as it will tend to loosen and just turn freely.

If that doesn't work, lay the rifle BB side down, place a tool in the BB to raise the magazine latch arm above the surface of the receiver. Use a Dremel on the riveted end of the magazine latch shaft. Drive the shaft back through the receiver. Have a new latch handy.
