Jan 2017, new laws reguarding AR-15 build

Will it be more difficult to buy an AR-15 after January 2017?
Should I buy this AR-15 lower before the new laws take effect?

      1. They won't ship to California.
      2. Even if they did you wouldn't be able to dros it by 12/21/16.
      3. Therefore you wouldn't be able to pick up before 1/1/17.
      4. Maybe if you searched yourself you would see multiple threads on this exact thing. Why should I provide that.
      5. You are way late to the game. I hope something works out for you though.

        If serious, check here.

If not serious or employee of California DOJ, please find another bridge to hide under.

Hope this was helpful if help was needed.

There are tons of threads on this. Just search or browse here and you will find all of those answers.

Calguns is also about doing your own research. Nobody should do it for you.

A stripped lower is not centerfire and doesn't have features.

This is only if you want to register an AR15 as an AW next year. If you want featureless or BB reloaded then we assume those will be sold but without regulations it's an unknown unknown.

You can buy lowers now or next year, but you will not be able to build them up into a featured configuration and register them as AW's.
You may only complete builds in 2017 that comply with 2017 law.

If you want a complete AR that you can register next year, you have until close of business on the 21st to begin DROS, then pray that you don't end up with a DROS hold or "undetermined" because you won't be able to take possession after midnight Dec 31.

Seriously... you're about 3 months behind the rest of the herd.
These laws were signed in July.

Just so you know, if you're serious, most FFLs stopped transferring bullet buttoned rifles on the 17th. You are basically now swimming upstream with your leg chained to a lead ball.

Not saying it can't be done, but i highly suggest you hit up the private long gun sales on here and call the FFL where you're going to transfer before going there.
