    San Fernando Valley and he really knows about these problems. I am old enough to equate him with Jim Boland master gunsmith and mad scientist.

      What kind of PSA upper is it (CHF, premium, freedom, PTAC)?

        Everyone thank you very much for your input and concern. I purchased a chamber brush and did about 100 full rotations in the chamber. Keep in mind this was a new upper that had 15 or so rounds through it by me so I never tried it before. I did a function test today and it runs perfect. I'm assuming it had a lot of finish in it or residue from test firing.

          did you break the upper in? i had similar issues recently and was told by a very local LGS that I need to break it in, especially an SS barrel. There are instructions online on how it, but basically you fire 5.56 and clean after each shot. I haven't done it myself yet.
