Which ammo?

I just purchased LWRC 20inch REPR. I have not even taken it out of the box yet
I am planning my range day, and not sure which ammo works best out of this weapon. I am hearing either .308 or 7.62x51 will work, and LWRC as verified that, but I would prefer some bench tests results if possible.

Any help would be great!

P.S. I have a ton of .308 federal premium for my REM700 that could be in play here.

Is the receiver stamped .308?

couldn't get a read from barrel, but I broke out the manual and clearly states both in bold letters.

If a rifle is stamped 7.62, then I only use 7.62 ammo in it. But if it's stamped .308, I use both .308 and 7.62 in it.

I don't have any test results for you, but it sounds like your Federal Premium .308 will work well in this gun.
