Finally Finished - Grab Bag AR

Posted the pictures in the featureless photo thread also.

    RRA Lower

    Ace Skeleton
    RRA Carbine/9mm Buffer Tube Spacer/Block
    H Carbine Buffer
    Rifle Gear BCG
    BCM Gunfighter CH
    Tactical Link EBAL
    Aero Precision Upper
Noveske Afghan SS Barrel - 14.5 mid-length w/ perm Levang Linear Comp
    Vltor low pro gas block
    Rainier Arms Evolution Handguard 12.37
    Bobro 30mm Mount
Weaver 30mm Dangerous Game 1-5x24 Scope
    Better-than-Surefire Custom Flashlight
    Danger Close Flashlight Mount
    BFG Padded Vickers Sling
    DIY Garage Camo

Only about 1,200 rds through this combo - but 0 malfunctions so I figured it was safe to paint her. Didn't want to paint before I made sure everything was playing nicely together.

    Please excuse the 'tactical rug'.

***Yes... I know... missing BUIS. Took off the MBUS Gen 2's before paint because I'm going to go with Pros instead.***

That rug is tactical only if it came from a polar bear that you clubbed to death with a baby seal.

Hmm. May need to revise my post then. :|

Yes. Ditched the rubber butt pad - too long and don't need/like them. Ditched the foam sleeve and replaced with paracord... cause it's tacticool. Mostly didn't want to deal with the foam falling apart over time.

Correct amount of forward throw on the optic. I like it all.

Probably a silly question but the 9mm buffer tube spacer thing threw me. This is still a 5.56 chambered weapon right?

Its a spacer so you can run a carbine buffer and spring inside a rifle length buffer tube.

                    Winner!

It ran well with the rifle buffer... but a friend of mine who is using a similar setup (same barrel w/ rifle buffer) was having trouble shooting tula/crap type ammo. Seems the 5.0oz rifle buffer was a little too much.

I can run an H2 or H buffer without issues but I stick to the H just for extra piece of mind because I don't notice the difference and it still shoots noticeably softer than the 16" carbines I have owned and shot.

I'm digging the cammo scheme. Blends right in with the rug.

But I'm gonna have to dock you points for:
                      1) No feet in picture.
                      2) Needs more cowbell.
