    80% Jig Universal?

Don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I have seen many threads about 80%'s in this section.

Say I bought an 80% from http://www.80percentarms.com/ , would I also need to purchase a jig from them, or could I use a jig from somewhere else? Are they universal or are they manufacturer-specific?

you will need to check with the particular manufacturer...

there are some jigs that will work on almost any mil-spec receiver, and then some that only work with their brand receivers
"It is currently CA legal to modify a double-action revolver into a single-action revolver and modify a single-action revolver into a double-action revolver.

CA DOJ BOF stance on modifying handguns only applies to dimensionally compliant bolt-action single-shot pistols and dimensionally compliant break-open single-shot pistols.
^It does not apply to revolvers, manually operated repeating pistols, and semi-auto pistols." ~~ Quiet

I posted my finished one. Just finished it today. I haven't used other jigs, but 80% Arms universal easy jig is pretty much foolproof.

I have a feeling we're about to see a bunch of 80% threads here. I'm starting my 80% project as well.
