    X95 Mag Release Issues

    Hi Everybody,

So I got my x95 the other day, brought it home to fondle and the mag won't release reliably. After some testing I found if I push up on the mag while depressing the release it'll pop out but that's really the only way...no matter how hard I press on the button.

It's also leaving a visible line on my mags (see pic). I've got an email out to IWI but wanted to see if anybody more experienced than I had some ideas.

It's getting stuck on the upper part of the catch on the mag but I am not sure why. Thought about doing some filing on my mags or shimming the release but didn't want to screw with it just yet.

Yeah I've got the cover on mine too. No matter how hard I push it doesn't help, hopefully somebody here or IWI can provide a solution.

I have to push on BB HARD - then mag ejects like it's spring loaded. I have a very early X95 so it has the blocking plate. This is with MAGPUL mag's. When my Lancer mag's come in on Tuesday I'll update this thread.

Cannot wait to register it so I can pull off the BB crap.

I have one lancer 10rd, it actually performs the best. If it comes out it flies out, the hexmag 10/30 is the 2nd best and it will occasionally barely release. I need to get some metal mags and try those.

Mine is brand new. Put a new trigger in it before even firing it and i noticed the same thing. Thought something was wrong, then pushed harder and mag dropped out like it was spring loaded, just like yours. Not a big issue and maybe it'll get better with use.

I had this problem too. It's a LOT easier with the bolt locked back fwiw

Tested it, works good enough for me. No complaints!

Lancer's do seem to release slightly easier than my PMAG's, will see if it's any easier once BB crap is removed next year.
