    308 DPMS pattern scope

Hey guys I'm in the market for a scope. Wondering what to look for and if you have any recommendations. Gun is a Spikes tactical jack10 308 with an 18.5" Criterion hybrid match barrel. I was looking at the Nikon m-308 with BDC 800 reticle. The gun will mainly be used at the range and some hunting. I would like to stay in the $400-$500 budget. Please let me know what you think.

I wouldn't get the bdc reticle if you plan on ever using it for hunting. In CA you will be required to use copper ammo and I doubt it would line up.

Nikons are made in Phillipines. Vortexes are made in China, Phillipines, or Japan depending on the model. For the Diamondbacks & Vipers which are in your price range they are made in Phillipines.
