DPMS 308 A3 upper receiver light weight??

Anyone have an extra one sitting around??
Seriously though I always wanted to try one. But now that I am ready they are out of production. Are they really much lighter than the regular A3 type 308 upper receiver that DPMS still has available?
If they were much less accurate due to flexing then maybe I won't, but otherwise I would like to try and track one down somewhere. Anyone ever try one?

IIRC, light weight upper saved a little over an ounce of weight compared to a regular upper.

As for any flex, I never heard of any issues with them. The weight savings came from milling out a middle section down the picatinny rail. The side walls were still the same thickness.

      Good luck finding one.
Sometimes I wonder why I even bother. Some people are just incapable of understanding the simplest of things.
