    Complete Rifle Kit

So I woke up this morning and had this sudden urge to put together my first AR. Looking around I found these two kits, one from PSA for $389.99 and one from CBC for $419.30 (after coupon).

Anyone have any opinion or experience to share? Would love to hear..

I've got the PSA Stainless barrel Freedom kit. It functions well, I imagine the one you're looking at will function just the same.

If you're just getting an AR to get an AR, by all means run to your LGS and put a lower or two in jail.

Afterward, decide what the purpose of each rifle will be and ask for suggestions based on each purpose.

Speaking of...I need to stop making up "roles" for more rifles...I even have an under-the-desk-just-in-case-SHTF AR

The FF Rail on the CBC deal looks pretty good.

Can't go wrong with PSA though.

First you must decide on the lower because the is the actual gun. Decide if you want to do a 80% lower or go to the store and buy any lower there really isn't a difference in brand.

After that I would suggest PSA. That's where I got all the parts to make mine. There are some good articles on here how to put one together.

Can't go wrong with PSA and their kit comes with a front sight, add a lower and a good rear sight and your good to go.

Just buy as many lowers as you can now!

              The rest is just parts!

Good luck with the paper weights. The 100% is way less hassle and you gonna need get a number for paper weight. So what's the point now I say.

You can use several for an AR pistol and the rest as AR rifles without having to spend $800+ for an AR pistol lower.

You can also create your own serial number; have seen several comical combinations.

I've built two rifles with their uppers that work great and have two more of their uppers sitting in boxes, but then I also have two PSA uppers sitting in boxes too.

I would not get an m4 profile barrel because I think the grenade launcher cut is silly (unless you plan on mounting a grenade launcher). I prefer a mid length gas system for 16 inch barrels.

Built mine using PSA mid length Premium MOE kit. Love it.

                              PSA is GTG

I've pieced together / built a few of their kits, and they're all reliable shooters. Great prices and quality/fit/finish IMHO.
