Featureless Muzzle Help Needed

I am in the process of making my AR-15 less "evil" by making it featureless.

My only confusion is muzzle break. It says I'm allowed to have one.
I currently have an extra VG6 Epsilon 556. It does have a side benefit of reducing flash.

I know an alternative is Lantac Dragon 556 Muzzle Brake. I see it is advertised as Muzzle Break and do not see any reference about it "hiding or reducing" flash.

Because both of these are labeled as Muzzle break, both should be allowed to make my AR-15 Featureless right?

If it says anything about reducing flash or minimize flash, it's a flash hider no matter what else it says. Best/safest bet is to simply use a thread protector.

Not sure where, but at one point the lantac dragon stated that it suppressed flash somewhat. I've got the brake and it's great but it's not on my featureless.

My featureless rifle has a surefire brake.

I use the M4SD. It really reduces recoil for 3 gun.

With my A2 flashhider, the flash is the size of a golf ball at night. With the M4SD, it is the size of a softball.

If it *says* flash hider, best to avoid it.

Even though you could probably spot it from orbit at night

Just ordered a Kaw Valley Linear Compensator to make my AR-15 safe for babies.

If the marketing material says anything about flash reduction, you're toast. Don't risk a felony over a $50 to $150 part. Even without regulations, I'd get a brake over a flash hider any day.

Lantac has removed the flash reduction language from their website, but many online retailers still publish the original language that includes:

"...ultra-fast attenuation of muzzle blast gasses for a reduced flash signature."

I've given up on a muzzle device for my featureless AR and will be using a thread protector.

Don't give up, it's so easy to find good muzzle devices which are indisputably NOT flash hiders.

As stated above, there's old advertising floating around listing the Lantac Dragon as a flash hider/brake unless you've got a different Lantac brake?

I've got one and it's great, but it sits on an "evil" rifle.

Anything with a flat front and no mfg language relating to flash suppression should be fine.

Anything with an open front or forward prongs should be avoided and if the mfg has any literature regarding flash suppression, t's best to err on the cautious side and steer away.

I just picked up a VG6 Gamma instead of the Epsilon for the exact dilemma you are experiencing. Avoid any future trouble by removing any present doubt. If it looks like a flash hider or if the product description mentions 'flash reduction,' then steer clear, no matter how nice it may be.
