Has anyone use this with your 300AAC or 5.56 pistol?

They are only 5.0 oz vs other 5.2/5.4/5.5 oz. They are half the price compare to other brand albeit a little lighter. With buying buffer, what does one look for or avoid?

Buffers have moving weights to correct for bolt bounce.
The lack of moving weights means that the buffer will not correct for bolt bounce.

It's when your BCG hits home so hard that it bounces off the barrel extension instead of locking.

When the bolt slams into battery, if it slams too hard, it can bounce back slightly, which is not good. Having moving weights in the buffer gives a second push to the back of the bolt carrier group. Think about accelerating in your car. When the car accelerates forward, you move backward in your seat. The opposite happens when braking. Same things happens in the buffer. When the buffer spring is compressed after firing and begins to accelerate the bolt carrier forward, the weights in the buffer move to the rear of the buffer. Then when the buffer slams the bolt back into battery, it decelerates, and then the weights shift forward for a second push. This helps prevent bolt bounce.

Yes. Once the bolt slams home you don't want it moving.

I have one of those in a 7.62X39 AR. So far I haven't seen any issues, but I will use this idea as an excuse to go shoot a lot so I can watch and observe.

It seems that ST-T2 isn't very good. The 5.2 oz is best but still doesn't prevent bolt bounce.
