Best AR15 cleaning kit

Can't go wrong with a boresnake and a Hoppe's rifle cleaning kit. It comes with the rods and brushes you need. Personally, I don't like Hoppe's solvents and lubes (they work well, but are a bit too pungent IMO). I use tetra gun grease for lube and M-Pro 7 solvent.Originally posted by POLICESTATEAmericans who seek to take away liberty and property from others are not true Americans. hoppes is hands down the best solvent. get that on amazon with prime. then get a rifle cleaning kit with rod and brush for about 10 bucks. now you have 70 some dollars to buy ammo.
unless you buy a cleaning kit from rolex, you are not getting anywhere near 100 bucks.Comment

I've been using a G.I. type cleaning kit for years. Usually about $20 or less. Fill the bottle with Break Free/CLP.

One piece Dewy rod. Sweet's 7.62. Shooters Choice. Correct bore guide, patches and jags. Well under a $100.
