I am building my first AR and I have a question about gas tube/bolt carrier(gas key) fitment. I installed my gas block onto the barrel and lined it up with the center as well as the dimple on the barrel. When I slide my bolt carrier into the receiver, without the bolt, I can feel the gas key slide over the gas tube. It's not binding at all but it's noticeable when it slides around the tube. I tired slightly adjusting the gas block but this doesn't seem to affect the feel of the tube and key touching. Plus when I do that the dimple in the barrel is no longer center under the gas block set screw. My question is how much should I feel the gas key contact the gas tube? Do I need to "adjust" the end of the gas tube a bit? Thanks for any help.

AR build question

Normally you shouldn't feel the tube slide into the key but if its not hitting the tube so much that it causes it to deformed its good. A gas tube is chamfered and belled to allow it to slide in and out.............Thats what she said.
Plus your looking past the most crucial part of an AR build, having the Gas bleed hole in the barrel line up properly with the hole in the gas block. If having them line up properly means a little drag between gas tube and key, guess which one I'm going with? -
