    Franklin Armory AR10

Hey guys so im building my first AR10 and need some help. Ive read through plenty of threads did lots of research and still feel kind of lost. Im trying to build a gun capable of reaching out to a decent amount of yardage, whats most practical out of an AR10, and that can be nimble still. Im currently in the process of aquring the foundation which is a franklin armory lower in DPMS pattern which is the pattern all parts will be. Also i dont mind this build taking a while i want it to be quality so if price is secondary in importance to performance. Biggest problem ive ran into is which barrel to get. Heard noveske makes a great barrel but hard to find and guess might only work with armalite pattern? Currently Looking at:
    Rainer arms match
    Fulton
    Shillen
    Open to suggestions here.

Heres what my parts list looks like right now

    Muzzle - M4-72 Severe Duty

    Barrel - ?????

    Barrel Nut -

    Gas Block -

    Gas Tube-

    Fore end -

    Receiver - Franklin Armory Militia

BCG - POF Ultimate BCG (or ?)

    Charging Handle - AXTS Raptor

    Buffer Tube/Spring -

    Stock -

    LPK -

Trigger - Geissele or Timney 2 stage

    Grip - Magpul K2+

    Push pins -

Thanks for any help guys building an AR10 is quite the undertaking.

If your building a DPMS pattern, don't refer to it as a AR10. AR10 is Armalite. Could really mess you up ordering parts.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

My opinion is Criterion barrels are the best value when it comes to accuracy. I've used their barrels on my NM M14, Garand , and NM AR.

Seems like criterion and fulton barrels are one in the same im kind of leaning towards that barrel anyway might snag it.

And save $100 over the Shilen. I have a Shilen on my M40A1 and it shoots great too.

What caliber and barrel length are you planning on? I'd consider 6.5 Creedmoor if you want to shoot long distance, but because case volume is higher relative to bore, barrel length is more important than a 308.

308 is what I'm going with just because of availability and ease of use I'm currently looking at around 20in rifle length
