If you were in my shoes...

and had to choose one or both "assault rifles" to go featureless or RAW, namely my treasured Tavor and AR-15, would you choose to do one or the other or do both?

Curious on what you guys would do because I am unsure on what I want to do...

What year were they acquired? Personally I would do the Tavor just to get rid of the flash hider. I actually bought one this year for that very reason. As for the AR. If it was purchased pre 2014 I wouldn't register it. I would buy another receiver and build the rifle on that, register, and keep the other one off the books.

My motto is keep the stuff off the books off the books, the stuff already on the books can go either way.

I purchased the AR in 2011, the Tavor was bought in 2015. Yeah, I was thinking of doing the Tavor and getting that Muzzle break from IWI and adding the Kydex grip wrap...

Totally agree with the motto! Thanks AKSOG!

Those look like SA 1911's to me -

        Both is the answer. .

Thankfully I'm not in your shoes, as I don't consider RAW an option.

Hawk that Israeli hunk of junk, and buy some real guns.

I also bought the Tavor just two months ago specifically to register as AW and remove the BB and long ***** muzzle brake. I also have a pre-2014 AR that I am on the fence whether to register or not. BTW, I have another featureless AR that will definitely not be registered as AW and a pair of AR pistols at least one of which will be fixed mag and not registered.

The flexibility of having an AR registered as AW allows for a 50BMG upper to be attached at some time in the future when otherwise it would be verboten even as featureless.

Buy an extra AR lower and rebuild the pre-2014 gun on to the registered lower.
Register the registered lower as a AW to enjoy raw features.
Leave the pre-2014 lower in the back of the safe in case you ever need an unregistered lower...

Yes, I have thought about that but I also have the three (featureless rifle, two pistols) 80% builds for that.
