    .50 Beowulf Cycling problems

I recently picked up an Alexander Arms basic .50 Beowulf upper. It shoots great when it shoots. It jams / short cycles about every third round. I've tried extensive cleaning, various mags including Alexander Arms mags and pmags. Still the same thing. I'm using new factory ammo. I'm really looking for suggestions. Thanks

Is your gas block properly positioned and torqued?

Try a lighter buffer spring and/or buffer.

      What type of jam?

Mostly feeding problems. It either doesn't pick up the next round at all or the round is at an angle. Also the bolt does not stay open after the last shot.
        Thanks for the help!

These two things combined are usually a sign of an under-gassed gun.
Look for obvious gas leaks, loose/broken gas key screws, gas block misalignment on barrel, gas tube wear from barrel nut misalignment or an adjustable gas block that is closed down too much.
If NONE of those are the cause, it might be time to open up the gas port another 0.006".
