    Hi new member question

    Hey guys new member here
I'm considering a ruger mini 14 which does not have a bb since it lacks the pistol grip. Is it still required to be registered as a AW ?

Also is the registration for AW a one time thing? What's to prevent you from moving from your registered place of residence and their registration list not being "updated"?

No features = no AW status under the new assault weapons ban.

Consult this flowchart for any further questions regarding current AW standards.

Also, nobody knows the second part of your question yet.
If they do, I'm not aware.

Be sure there is no flash hider on your mini, or it is AW and requires BB. Pistol grip isn't the only evil feature. Get familiar with that flow chart... Welcome to Calguns!

Welcome to CG! Mini 14 in the format sold at the stores is good to go. However, installing features such as flash hider or pistol grip would classify it as assault weapon in California. Refer to flowchart for more information.

Welcome to Calguns, and I agree with the previous messages.

I got the Mini because it has the M1 heritage without all the Tactical features. You know, those little parts that make it so scary to the Sacro-fascists...

Muzzle break is ok. As best I can understand. There are some worthwhile additions you can apply to a Mini-14.
