    Making a Vepr AK featureless

    I have one of these coming and was wondering if all I need to do is to cover the thumb hole to make this featureless for the upcoming Jan 1 laws. Could it be this easy if I leave this AK exactly as pictured below? I am planning on a muzzle brake but that shouldn't be a problem, correct?

    Also, while I'm asking, any ideas how to cover this hole? I like this stock and don't want to replace it. Thanks

      Yes, you'll need to cover the stock hole. Then you are good to go as long as you don't add flash hider or replace it with adjustable stock.

                      Ok, thanks.

                      Now, suppose I just tape a piece of paper or cardboard over the holes. Will that do it? If so, just reaffirms how silly these new laws are.

                      Funny to think that if that tape accidentally unsticks even momentarily, I am now technically a felon under the eyes of the law [emoji12]

                          The Calguns user Munkeeboi operates that business and has a very solid track record making grips at really reasonable prices. Spend the few $$ and get an actual piece that is installed rather than the cardboard, which I guess would be adequate but then again if you can easily break through that with your thumb (or just push/bend it) then it might not be legally adequate. So for your peace of mind, Id contact Munkeeboi.

                              To make a Vepr pioneer featureless, cover the thumbhole in the stock. Use kydex, fiberglass, or some type of filler to do so. Kydex would be the easiest, and least permanent approach.
                              A normal scenario in PC MURICA 2019

                              Registered AW owner: "Hello neighbor! Im going to be moving in soon next door, but as a registered ASSAULT WEAPON owner, Im required by law to notify my neighbors and get signatures before my family and I can move in..."

                              Would be Neighbor: "....." *SLAMS DOOR*
