after reading the whole 10-30 poser poll and seeing peoples responses i was wondering what thoes same guys thought about "bubba-ing" a m1 garand...

what is the point where a garand becomes tacticool...synthetic stock instead of wood??? rail system??? scope mounts??? lasers/ lights??? is it sacreligious ??? no poll just opinions....

Synthetic stock - durability and some prefer the look

Rail system -so you can mount stuff

Scope mounts - so you can mount a scope and increase your accuracy

Lasers - so you can put a dot on your target while shooting in odd positions or while behind cover

Lights - so you can see what your shooting at

If you can't do it without permanently altering or damaging the original equipment, then is shouldn't be done imo.

The Garand it made to be shot like it is. It doesn't lend itself to functional mods easily. Don't try to modify it into something it isn't and will never be.
