I live in LA and Martin B. Retting is trying to sell stripped lowers for $100-150 depending on how many you buy.
I already have two AR-15's which I will have to register in 2017 and then hopefully remove the bullet buttons.
I am thinking my next will be a featureless with probably a Thordsen stock - those monsterman grips seem uncomfortable and more likely to become illegal during the next round of BS legislation. Are those stocks sturdy enough given that they are only attached to the grip? I've never seen one in person.
Given this, any reason to buy the lower(s) now? Will they be harder to find next year when you can no longer buy or build an AR other than featureless?
I would like to be able to carry a rifle in my trunk on rare occasions and don't want to go to jail for stopping at McDonalds on the way back from the range with an "Assault Weapon" in my trunk.
