Help me make a decision on trading my AR15 lowers***

I know the law of banning ar15 is gonna take effect in 2017 if we don't get enough vote to veto the bills. Since it is still on air whether it's going to go through or not, I have decided to purchase many stripped ar lowers. (This is where I need help) so would it be worth it for me to trade 2 of my ar stripped lowers for 1 stripped ar15 pistol? The guy is willing to trade me and I know that ar pistols are hard to come by and only LEO can register ar lowers as pistols. Any thoughts and input will be great appreciated! Thanks in advance calguns!

i hope when you mean trade, you mean go through the correct PPT process and not a in person swap.

and as for my opinion, if you really want an AR pistol and are willing to trade two AR lowers for it then go for it. AR pistol lowers are typically more expensive than AR rifle lower (at least in CA).

more details on the other person AR Pistol Lower and the AR Lowers you are trading with them. (ie brand?, New or Used?)

and why do you have random brands text on the bottom of your post? this isn't a craigslist post. don't clutter up the already horrible search function of this message board with nonsense like that.

The lowers are brand new from me and the other person. All brands are spikes tactical.

then you have to decide if the cost of the two lowers is worth the trade.

AR Pistol lowers isn't too rare to come by, but also they aren't exactly in abundant supply.

if you really want an AR pistol, and can let go two rifle lowers for it then do it.

You don't have to be LEO to register an AR lower as pistol.

You can buy one or build it yourself.

But (2) sttipped rifle lowers for (1) registered pistol lower is a good trade.

I'd trade 2 stripped rifle lowers, for 1 stripped pistol lower.

I don't think you can get a pistol lower by itself, as you're required to do a safety test and that requires a functional weapon.

Thanks everyone for your input. I will be going through with the trade however can the pistol lower be ppt or does it have to be a complete rifle in order for them to allow me to transfer name?

A long gun receiver can be transferred no problem, but a pistol has to be complete.

There are ways to avoid the safety handling demo is that's what your referencing. Do you have anything to back up the pistol being complete? I haven't seen any verbiage like that.

Safe handling is what I'm referring to. How do you avoid it?
