    Grendel build gas block recommendations

Looking for recommendations for a gas block adjustable or not for my Grendel build. I have a 16" AA barrel, using a mil spec carrier and going to shoot factory ammo. Things going to be used to hunt and plinking, not a bench gun, nothing at extreme distances. I am also a cheap @$$ so I am not looking for a JP, or SLR for over a 100 bucks but at the same time don't mind spending a few bucks to get something that I will be happy with.

    Caliber etc shouldn't matter.

Geissele makes great stuff, I use them (but try to wait for blem sales).

Are you looking for low profile or something with a picatiny rail? What is barrel dia at the gas port? I just used a $20 ARStoner low pro on an upper that works fine and fit under the keymod free float handguard which was only $35 from China on eBay.

Sorry left out a few things. Low profile, it is mid length and .750 dia

Here's pic of the $20 ARStoner low pro gas block from MidswayUSA on a .750 dia barrel and I can't see needing anything more expensive. Hard to actually see the GB in the pic but that's why it's lo profile. The gas block had two allen set screws to hold it in place but the barrel only came with one recess drilled into the barrel below the gas port so I drilled a second recess to be able to fully use both set screws.

I'd recommend a Syrac or SLR. I haven't had much luck with lower end adjustable gas blocks.

I've got a superlative arms adjustable block on mine. It bleeds the gas out the front of the gasblock. Over 800 flawless rounds of both steel and brass and I love it. It's under a 13.5" Noveske nsr

Parallax Tactical makes an adjustable gas block for $40. I have one paired with a lightweight BCG to lower the recoil impulse for my girlfriend & new shooters. Love it! For the price, I'm not sure you can beat the quality.

AIM Surplus NiB Lightweight. Bought it complete, no issues so far. Planning on buying another eventually.

I've used seekins adjustable gas blocks and pretty happy with them.

Have a JP low profile and Odin low profile. Both are adjustable. I say spend the extra $50 and get a good one. JP is easy to install. Odin has nice clicks in and is in the front. Got the Odin on sale for $65. JP was $75.

                        Good luck

Fine tune your AR-15 gas system with the Odin Works Adjustable Low Profile Gas Block.
