    Evil Features

By swappin my barrels over to ported(instead of threaded) do I eliminate one of the evil features?
I once pondered over the debate of 9mm vs. .40, then I was introduced to .38 super and 10mm and forgot all about it.

Threaded barrels are not considered evil at all. A Flash hider is considered Evil.

A Compensator on a threaded barrel is just fine. A thread protector on a
Threaded barrel is just fine. Bare threads are just fine.

It would remove the FH requirement. The OP didn't give specifics so neither did I.
PS: not to many rifles have ported barrels. Is the OP talking about handguns?

Sorry peoplethread after thread and I still have difficulty understanding featureless! I was going to swap my threaded barrels for some unthreaded ones on my AR sporting rifles!

Sure you can do that but it really has no affect unless you are running a flash hider and even then it would cheaper in labor and parts to just change out the FH for a muzzle brake.

It's easier than many people make it out to be. The law has defined what features are, if your gun doesn't have those features, then it's featureless.

In your case, you're talking about the muzzle. Only a flash hider is a feature; get anything else that isn't a flash hider and it's not a feature. Brake? Not a feature. Linear comp? Not a feature. Thread protector? Bare threads? Not features.

A 'flash hiding compensator"? It has flash hider in the name, thus it's a feature. Don't get it.
